Her dam was a beautiful bay tovero paint and her sire a registered quarter horse with King bloodlines. She is a beautiful blood bay with dapples and has 3 high stockings, a blaze, and beautiful blue eyes. This girl is PRETTY! These pictures do NOT do her justice...she is a must see. She is halter broke, leads, ties, loads, trailers, etc. She loves attention, is easy to catch, and gets along with anybody. She isn't "mare-y" at all. She was broke to ride as a 3 year old but hadn't been ridden in 5 years when I got her. She is currently in re-training for riding. She has no buck, rear, or bolt in her. Coming along nicely! She is being ridden with a halter or hackamore and has great flexion and good brakes. Has a really nice walk. She would make a great, flashy trail horse. She has a great personality, while she is still a bit green, she would make a great kid's horse with a little more mileage. Make me an offer...the more training I put on her, the more money I'll need for her, so offer ear<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5249234371230439954" style="FLOAT: right; She stands just a hair over 15 H and has good build. She is predominantly black/bay with just enough white to chrome her up. She is well-broke with no spook, and is a very smooth mover. Talk about class, class, class. She has it! Rides in just a loose o-ring snaffle and is very light and responsive. Responds to leg pressure and gives to the bit well. Will collect, side pass, bend, etc. Has been shown and trail ridden. She will ride western, english, or bareback. She has been on rough rides to bring in riled up cattle through briars, ditches, creeks, logs, etc. and takes everything in stride. Joy would make a nice all-around horse...cattle work, barrels, trails, and she makes a gorgeous english horse. One thing about her, she'll get noticed wherever she's at, whatever she's doing! I will be starting her on barrels and cattle work and continuing her trail riding. I will also be riding her in english tack and over some jumps. Pictures are in pasture condition and she's dirty...imagine if she had a bath! :)

She is up to date on her vaccinations, worming and coggins. She will clip, bath, load, trailer, tie, etc. She is completely sound and has no vices. This is a VERY nice mare!
~SOLD~

$2750<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5237174138370162770" style="FLOAT: right; The sire is Drifting Blue Tivio. She is a bay with a dorsal stripe. She may shed off a different color though. Her sire was born solid buckskin and shed off a buckskin/blue roan. She has one white sock on a front leg, a tiny spot of white on her lip and a few white hairs on her forehead. She has a cute dished face and is pretty shapey. These first two pictures were taken at 1 month old. This is one well-bred baby! She has greats such as Sonny Dee Bar, Versary Bars, Blondys Dude, Go Man Go, and Leo on her mom's side and Driftwood, Poco Tivio, Hancock, and Ed Echols on her dad's side!! Talk about barrel or roping prospect! Kat is already an athlete and moves out smooth and quick. She is very graceful and fun to watch and what a beauty! $750

If you want just the filly, she can be weaned in October. Her price may go up as she matures, so hurry if you want her! These pictures were taken June 17, so she was only 5 days old.

Kat will be being weaned and halter broke in the second week of October.<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5212961543175359842" style="FLOAT: right; He has beautiful blue eyes and great markings. His sire is Drifting Blue Tivio, he can be seen in his own section below. This colt is going to be so nice! He is strong and healthy and already has a great personality. He is very friendly and loves attention. I can call him and he will leave his mother to come to me. He loves to be scratched and played with. You can already touch and rub him anywhere on his body, legs, face, etc. He picks up all four feet with no problems. Picture above is at 2 week old. The rest of the pictures were taken at 1 week, 2 days, and about 1 hour old, it was only 5 am, so please forgive the quality...it was still pretty dark. NOT FOR SALE

<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5212965627378986898" style="FLOAT: right; She has athleticism and grace far beyond her size. She is about 14.3 H and about 1000 lbs but she throws good sized foals. Vet says her 07 colt will be at least 15.3, 16 H and the sire is 14.3 H. She is a breeding stock paint with lots of chrome. She is a good broodmare, settles first time and foals easily with no help and has more than enough milk. She was bred to Ikes Tivio in 06 and had a beautiful dark buckskin stud colt on July 6, 2007. He is for sale, a very well-bred gelding! You can see more pictures of him in his section above, Cash Driftn Dude. She was bred to Drifting Blue Tivio in 07 (see above), a buckskin/blue roan and she has a gorgeous filly (see above) in June of 08. Babe's parents are both very good rope horses and both safe for kids to ride as well. Babe was broke to ride but it's been 2 years since she's been ridden. She never bucked, reared, bolted, etc. when she was being ridden. She's been saddled recently and did great but it has been 2 years since a rider was on her back. If you are looking for a great broodmare or for a prospect riding horse, this is the mare for you. She has great bloodlines and is a proven broodmare and she has the pedigree and ability to make a great barrel horse, roping horse, or cutting horse. She could go any direction.

$500 (mare only) SALE PENDING

Babe's Pedigree

The picture below is her 07 foal at 2 weeks old. He was born September of 2006. He is a sweet, gentle, and very well-mannered donkey. He has a great personality and is everyone's friend. He does very well at keeping coyotes, strange dogs, and foxes out of our pasture. He is used to our dogs and doesn't bother them. He has also been ridden (started by a child) and will be used for driving as well. He has been started in harness and is learning how to drive. Since he is still so young, we are taking things slow and correctly. He is very trainable and willing. Harry has the genetics to throw spotted foals and the dun factor. You can make some really high quality mules or donkeys with Harry's help. He has been vet-inspected and is conformationally correct in every way. He is registered with the ADMS and is eligible for registration with ACOSA as well. Harry's Pedigree

Only reason for sale is Harry doesn't get along very well with my goats anymore. He plays too rough and I need a donkey that will be nice to them. You don't see ponies...or even quarter/paint horses...with build and color like this very often, if ever!! She is extremely stocky, all muscle and built right. She is a beautiful blood bay tovero paint pony. This girl is flashy! She would make a great show pony or, anything you want to do with her! She has been trail ridden and started on playday events such as barrels, poles, and flags. She does great being hauled to different arenas and listens well. She'll also be started english on jumps soon. She loves jumping! I have taken her on several extensive trail rides and she does great! Over logs, through woods, water, down roads, pasture, etc. She rides nice and quiet with or without other horses. Lacy also is a great cart pony! She will pull two people in a cart all over! Check out her picture page! This is a one-of-a-kind mare!

**I am not actively trying to sell her as I use her in my lesson program now. If you want her, I might be talked into selling her while I have so many horses but she won't come cheap. I won't price this mare, but make me an offer I can't refuse.**

More Pictures - Click here to see pictures of Lacy riding and pulling a cart.

Pistol Packing Zippo "Pistol"

Pistol Packing Zippo a.k.a. Pistol, is a 16 H, 1250 lb, 6 year old mare with performance, race, and halter bloodlines. Check out her awesome pedigree!! Pistol is bred to do anything, has perfect conformation and is very broke. She will spin a hole in the ground, stop on a dime, side pass, etc. She is an awesome all-around horse. She is suitable for any discipline...she moves like a dressage horse and is athletic enough to run barrels, rope off of or jump. She has more athletic ability than any horse needs, has great cattle sense, is well-started on barrels, high lopes with good turns, ready to be taken on and hauled. She is also started on poles as well. She has a kind heart. She has worked cattle and had a rope swung off of her. She is very cowy. She will track a cow with very little help. She has dragged heavy logs dallied to her saddle horn. She loves to pull and work. She is not spooky and is a wonderful trail horse. She goes wherever you point her. She has a competitive spirit and a willing to work attitude. She will ride western and english. She has a little experience in jumping and dressage as well as western events. She has siblings running barrels and roping in the rodeo circuit and doing very well.
The first three pictures here were taken in May 06 and the fourth pic was taken in November 06. The other two were taken as a 3 year old. I have had her since she turned two and broke her to ride myself so I know everything about this mare. I also broke three of her siblings to ride, I ran barrels on her brother for years and he is now running barrels for a 9 year old girl and winning like crazy! I've ridden her mother as well. Her family is well-known to me and they are all really nice horses. She has been taken care of since day one and is up to date on all vaccinations and worming. She will bath, clip, shoe, load, trailer, etc. She has no vices or health/soundness issues. No holes whatsoever!
She was bred to Ikes Tivio, a Poco Tivio, Driftwood, Ed Echols stud, for an '07 foal. She had a very cute bay filly "Cricket" with a big blaze and three white socks on June 20th, 2007. This filly is extremely nice! She is built out the wazoo with muscle everywhere and lots of pizazz! She looks like a halter horse but has a performance pedigree...and boy, can she move! Great personality and spirit. Everyone, who comes to our place, comments on what a looker she is. She is the most friendly little filly I've ever been around. I think she will take after her mother. Her pictures are in her section below (Ikes Smokin Pistol). Pistol's '08 colt, "Stormy", is absolutely stunning! His section is above. Pistol is an awesome mom, she had no trouble concieving and no trouble foaling. She has plenty of milk and is a great broodmare. She is very tolerant of people being around her baby and will let you get between her and the foal. She just talks to her the whole time, telling her it's okay. She is protective of her around other horses but not overly aggressive. The perfect mare!!

I have decided to keep Pistol for now. I am going to get one more colt out of her...out of a purebred Fresian stallion! She is just too nice a mare--I keep talking myself into keeping her! :)

Pistol's Pedigree

<img style="FLOAT: left; She was born June 20. She is solid muscle, athletic abililty, and sweetness. What a looker! She looks like a halter horse but has a performance pedigree. She will be able to do it all! She is already quite an athlete, her pasture play includes sliding stops, awesome rollbacks, and tremendous speed. She has a wonderful personality to match. She will leave her mother and come up for attention. She'll even back up to you so you have easy access to scratch her tail! She is about 10 months old in these pictures. We don't really want to sell this one but if interested, we would consider offers.

UPDATE: Cricket is now weaned, halter broke and doing great! She will stand tied, lead, pick up all four feet and can be rubbed all over. She can be caught in a 40 acre pasture without grain or treats. She is a people-loving horse.

Just so you can get an idea of her temperament, I got her halter on for the first time all by myself, no problems, then the next day she was leading. That's gentle and trainable! What a great filly!
<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5202123203451160994" style="FLOAT: right; Maverick was foaled April 2004. He is a sweet-natured, willing, and handsome gentleman gelding. He is a genetic buckskin roan with a lot of blue in him. He has a star and no other markings. His color changes with the seasons but he's always beautiful! Maverick is 92.8% foundation and looks it. He has a huge hip and great conformation and attitude. Maverick leads, picks up all 4 feet, bathes, clips, longes, loads and trailers, etc. He was started the right way at 2 years old and was the easiest colt I've ever trained. I have always been able to do anything I wanted with him. He has continued to be trained the right way in all aspects of his education. He has no buck, rear, or meanness in him. He is gentle and has been around children, dogs, goats, cats, vehicles, and other horses. He is very quiet and nice to be around. He's not scared of anything. He will walk up to people in the pasture wanting attention and following you around, he loves to be caught and comes running when he is called. He is a joy to be around. He is very cowy and has a good head on his shoulders. He would be an awesome cutting horse. He knows exactly what to do with a cow. He's laid back and will do anything his rider asks of him. He is very willing and talented. He moves around on his hocks...he is a really natural stopper and turns on on his rear end. He picks up both leads and is very light and responsive. Neck reining, side passing, and collection are nothing new to him. He is as responsive as they come. He really loves to be ridden and used. He has been ridden on trails, in open pastures, and down the road. Anyone can ride him and get along great. He has been ridden into caves, clear back into the dark, in the water, etc. He has been started on the heeling side and is a natural. The rope never bothered him and he really gets in there and puts you in the right spot. He is also well started on barrels. He is high loping a nice, smooth pattern and is loving it. He is going to be a quick, competitive barrel horse with a great turning style. He has been brought along slowly and correctly. He is ready to be hauled...he's been hauled some and did great already. He is a bold, intelligent horse. I cannot say enough about this guy...he's the best. As time passes Maverick becomes even better looking and he has gotten very stout. Maverick is right around 15 H. Maverick has also been ridden english and taken over jumps and he loves it. He would be a pretty english/dressage/jumping horse as well. He knows collection, side passing, leg yeild, and will ride in all english tack and just an O-ring snaffle. He is lots of fun! Maverick is barefoot and can be ridden anywhere and he stays sound and sure-footed. He has great feet! Maverick can sit in the pasture for months and then be saddled and go work with no problems. No vices, soundness issues, or health problems.

This horse is awesome and would do great with a serious competitor, he has the potential to go pro, whether barrels, roping, penning, cutting, reining, or even english....he could do it all. He would also be a wonderful family horse for trails, camping, etc. Was $6,500 NOW ONLY $4500!!!

Maverick's Pedigree He is a beautiful dark buckskin colt with great bloodlines and wonderful conformation. The pic to the right was taken at 11 months old. His pedigree includes Sonny Dee Bar, Blondys Dude, Versary Bars, Leo, Go Man Go, Top Deck, and Comida on his dam's side. His sire's side includes Driftwood, Poco Tivio, Doc Bar, and Ed Echols. With the cow and race in this guy's pedigree, he should be able to do anything; roping, cutting, barrel racing, pole bending, etc. He loves to run and is very athletic. I could watch him play in the pasture all day. He should be able to go english as well...his family are all very nice all-around horses. He's going to be a big one, vet says at least 15.3, probably 16 H and he'll be very stout. He is a beautiful dark buckskin with a cute face and an interesting face marking. He will be an eyecatcher. He'll probably shed off to the same color as his sire, a very deep chocolate buckskin. He's got the looks and the pedigree to be an awesome using horse. He is spunky, brave, curious, and intelligent. Even at one week old, he was herding our goats around and showing interest in cattle. Both his parents will eat a cow up and he's already showing that he will be like them. He is an athlete and is going to have a stride on him. He already moves out smooth and very fast. Don't pass this guy up! He's one of those special few that wouldn't be for sale if we didn't have so many. This is one of those once-in-a-lifetime horses!

UPDATE: Cash is a gelding now and is halter broke and doing great! He will lead, stop, back, and tie up. He is a sweetheart and loves the attention. He will pick up all four feet and has been worked in the round pen as well. Great at natural horsemanship! He is one that will latch onto one person and do anything for that person. At 9 months old he is 52 inches (13 H).

~SOLD~

To see his sire, please see the Reference Stallion page.

Cash's Pedigree The picture to the right was taken in April 2007 as a yearling. Isn't he gorgeous?! He has grown quite a bit since then, I have a couple more recent pics posted below. He is a big 2 year old now. He is started under saddle, halter broke and picks up all four feet. This horse is as gentle and laid back as they come. He is fearless and kind. He loves attention and loves to be scratched. We bought him to be used for roping and barrel racing and possibly be a stud prospect. We decided to geld him as we have too many horses as is so he is a gelding. He has the looks and the pedigree to do the job. Check out his awesome pedigree!! He is solid bay, no markings and extremely stocky with great conformation. And he is going to be huge!! He has cow breeding on top and race breeding on bottom. He is a very pretty colt and has a cute head. He is sweet and he is easy going and easily trained. He only needed two days to learn how to lead and pick up his feet. He started riding like he'd done it before. He loads and unloads in the trailer and ties up and stands good. He longes like a pro and is very willing to learn. He is an extremely people oriented colt and will do anything to be rubbed on, he's very loveable. He gets along with other horses, goats, cats, dogs, and children. He should mature around 15.1 H and be very stocky. He looks like he's got halter blood in him, he's so built! He has a very personable nature and loves to please. This horse is going to be something really special and we will keep him happily if he doesn't sell. Once I get a few others sold, Booger will come off the market.

UPDATE: Booger has been getting ridden regularly, no buck or fight. He acts like he's done it a hundred times. He has been ridden in the arena and in the pasture and on trails. At almost 2 years old, Booger is already over 15 H and built like a freight train! He is being ridden with saddle and O-ring bit and also bareback in just a halter. He has also been hauled to different locations and arenas to ride and it makes no difference in his attitude. He is very gentle and even after months of no riding, a person can hop on and go ride, no problem. His training has become more consistant this spring and his price will increase accordingly. Booger was ridden by a 9 year old girl (she's been riding 1 year) bareback in a halter for his 7th ride and they got along great! Booger has been hauled to local shows and all the commotion of the show environment never phased him. He will ride in the confusion of the warm-up arena, as well as stand quietly while kids run their horses back and forth or those "crazy barrel horses" go running by sideways. Amigo is one that we offer for lease. Amigo was my first horse. He is very special and will never be sold. He is my companion and my teacher. I have learned so much from him. I got him when he was 4 years old, he is now 13. He has taken me everywhere I wanted to go and more. He let me train him for barrels, poles, flags, goat tying, and everything else those little shodeos could dream up. He also took me to the bigger jackpots and rodeos. He's been to Texas with me two times for Martha Josey's barrel racing clinics. He and I learned together how to team rope. He was a great heading horse and I even heeled off of him some. He has even been ridden english and loved it too! We have such a great relationship that I can ride him without any equipment at all. Bareback and bridleless; it's the best feeling in the world to have a relationship like that with a horse. He trusts me and I trust him. He also helped quite a few little kids learn how to ride in riding lessons. He has a great personality, loves treats and attention. He is absolutely trustworthy. He's been there, done that!! Unfortunately Amigo's performing days are over now because of an old racing injury that has progressively gotten worse. He is only able to walk and trot a little these days. He is still happy and comfortable and will live out the rest of his days being pampered. He is still able to do trail rides and is a great trail mount. If there is anyone wanting to lease a horse for trails or just walk, trot work in the round pen, Amigo is the right horse for you. He is extremely special to me and has to be on special treatment for his leg therefore I do not want him leaving my place but if someone were to lease him, they could ride here and locally. I have places here available, pens and trails that can be used. Once I got to know you better, trailering him to different places for use might be considered. Amigo is a special horse and still loves to be used. Once you meet him, you won't want to stop riding him. I will lease him for $50 per month. I will pay for all feeding and supplement costs as well as all veterinary costs. Lessee will only be responsible for farrier costs (Amigo's farrier costs are minimal) and the leasing fee. Also, if you are leasing a horse from me, discounts are available with my riding lessons and summer horse camps. If you have any questions at all, feel free to email me. Amigo is safe for anyone to ride. I have horses for sale and others I would consider leasing as well. Amigo is NOT for sale. Please let me know if you are interested in leasing Amigo or another horse. I have others that are completely sound that could be leased as well so don't hesitate to ask. Thanks.

RB Rocket Zip--SOLD--Congrats to the Mummas from MO!

Zip is a 7 year old registered paint gelding standing 16 H. He is a finished barrel horse. The picture to the right was taken early May 2007. With a competitive rider, he will run 1D, with a laid-back rider, he will run 2D. He is consistent and willing. He will walk in, make his run, and walk out on loose rein. He has been run in indoor and outdoor pens; small and large. He also knows poles and has been used for other things such as goat tying, flag racing, play days, and ranch rodeos. He enjoys working cattle. He has been headed and heeled off of. He is very cowy and really enjoys having a job to do. He is good in the box and can catch up with any cow, he rates good and knows where he's supposed to be. He has been used to pony colts around, teaching them to lead whether they weigh 300 pounds or 1000 pounds, he'll pull them. He also trail rides on loose rein. He is very broke, light and responsive. He can be ridden in a halter and it's just like there's a bit in his mouth.
His pedigree is outstanding. His dam is a daughter of Jokers Bonanza: APHA champion, National champion barrel horse, open and amateur ROM earner with 16 halter pts., 35 open and 14 amateur performance pts. Her maternal grandsire is Zippo Souvenir (by Zippo Pat Bars AAA) race ROM sire and arena ROM sire with get that earned 166.5 pts. The good stuff about his dam goes on and on with many champions and AAA and AA racehorses. His sire is by Delta Getsya There: NCHA earner of $18,675, semi-finalist in 1991 NCHA Open Super Stakes, NCHA Cert. of Ability, APHA ROM cutting, 19 open cutting pts. He's by Doc O'Lena (enough said). Zip's paternal granddam is by Newsworthy (SI-93) a son of Rocket Wrangler (SI-97, ROM rade, Superior Race) and out of a Go Man Go mare. His good pedigree goes on and on. It's the who's who of cow and race.

Zip's Pedigree

$SOLD$

LETTER FROM ZIP'S 9 YR. Nikki is booking him for 2008 already.

Horsing Around Colorado - Dually's New Home!

Now, these are horses I have listed for other people.....

Please Note: My list of possible trades is not applicable for the horses listed below.

Hancocks Shamrock

Shamrock was born April 10, 2006, so she'll be 2 this year. She is a beautiful true red roan filly. In the summer her body turns almost silver leaving her head and legs dark red, very striking. Her sire is 15.1 H Outwest Hancock (AQHA) who has many traces to Joe Hancock and King among other foundation cowhorses. Her dam is a 15 H grade quarter horse named Firefly. Shamrock is in the process of being registered with the Half-Quarter Horse Association. Both sire and dam are used for moving cattle, playdays, and trails. Shamrock will probably mature about 15-15.1 H and she's leggy. She should be able to get somewhere if asked. I think she'd make a great kid's horse, or a great barrel or rope horse. She enjoys herding the cattle around her pasture. She is a very laid back, gentle, sweet filly. She loves people and has no bad habits. She will lead, tie, pick up her feet, etc. I can't stress enough how gentle this filly is. She will be an easy one to break out and she will be a nice one when mature. She's a bargain right now because her owners have too many horses.

Shamrock's sire's Pedigree

Josey

Josey is a 13 year old 13.3 H quarter pony mare. She has had a colt and is now in a refresher course and is doing really well.

She baths, clips, loads, and is good for farrier. He is a sorrel with a curly mane and a gorgeous long tail. He has a blaze and four white socks. He is gentle and halter broke. He is 12.3 H, his sire is about 14.2 H and his dam is 13.3 H, but I think Bucky is just about done growing. He would make a great kid's horse with training or with his pedigree would make a great youth's cowhorse for roping, cutting, penning, etc. Bucky is not registered yet but he can be by you! His owner thought that someone might want to name him themself. He can be registered with the Pony of the Americas Club and with the American Quarter Pony Association. He is by a Quarter Horse stallion with very good bloodlines and out of a double registered POA/QP mare. His sire is McFarlins Dunny King "Romeo", a grandson of Continental King (72.5 performance points in reining, working cowhorse, and western pleasure, NCHA money earner and NRHA Hall of Fame, son of King). Romeo's dam is a gr.granddaughter of Dunny D (performance points and open ROM in calf roping). Romeo has numerous crosses to King (enough said). Bucky's dam is LM Cajun Clover Gold (she is also for sale at this time), she is double registered with the Pony of the Americas Club and with American Quarter Pony Association. She has an impressive pedigree as well with halter and performance point earners as well as Hall of Fame horses and world and national champions in AQHA and ApHC such as Arab Toswirah Alkhar (foundation sire for POAs), Prince Plaudit (national champion sire and ApHC HoF), Mighty Tim (Hi point halter and performance, grand and res. champion halter, ApHC, world and national champion sire), Plaudit, Joe Moore, and Beau Bonanza (all AQHA champions, halter and performance). Bucky has not been castrated and with these kinds of names behind him, would make a great herd sire. He doesn't have any stud attitude despite living with 2 mares, he is still very quiet and laid back. Or, of course, he could be castrated and make a great gelding for anyone. He just needs someone to take the time for him.
Bucky's Pedigree
$1000 (neg.)

*Both Bucky and Clover (his mom) belong to an elderly couple who have been having medical problems and must sell to pay for medical bills and because they are no longer able to take care of the horses. She is double registered with the Pony of the Americas Club (Breeding Stock) and with the American Quarter Pony Association. She is a sorrel with a golden mane and tail. She has a star and stripe and four white socks. She has had a colt and was also broke to ride. She would need an experienced rider because it's been about a year since she's been ridden but she's a sweetheart. She was used for trail riding and has been on pretty extensive trail rides in the past. She has a small scar on her front leg but it has been vet checked sound. She is just under 14 H and is a nice-looking, shapey mare. She is intelligent and with some work would probably make a nice kid's horse for playdays/trails or a lady's trail horse, etc.
She has good bloodlines...her dame is a granddaughter of Mighty Tim with high point halter and performance, grand and reserve champion halter, ApHC Champion sire and world/national champion sire. She traces to Beau Bonanza who was an AQHA champion, high point halter stallion, superior halter, arena ROM and 216 halter points/21 performance points. She also traces to Prince Plaudit (Plaudit and Joe Moore) who was a national champion sire and was in the ApHC Hall of Fame. Clover's sire traces to Arab Toswirah Alkhar numerous times which is one of the foundation sires for the POA breed.
This horse has a lot of potential, whether you are wanting something to ride or just a broodmare.
